Ryuk says ok, starts writing and then matsuda and the other police officers shoot ryuk as light laughs only for ryuk to turn the death note around to show lights name on it. Light begs ryuk to stop it but ryuk tells light that he out of everyone should know once a name has been written in the death note their death is locked in.

I know there are some fan made endings but there are no official alternate endings. Death note is one of those zeitgeist shows that’s considered a staple to most anime fans. There’s a few shows that are mostly considered must watches if you’re a fan of the genre and for most Death Note falls in this category. I’d say yes finish it. I don’t think it’s even anywhere near getting really ramped up by episode 3
Light Yagami's death in the Death Note anime differed slightly from the manga version, but the end result is similar nonetheless. Death Note is a supernatural thriller anime that garnered the love and affection of hordes of fans thanks to its neo-noir tone and the cat-and-mouse game between the main characters, but if you’ve finished watching the series, there’s no need for despair. Tokyo Revengers is an action manga with strong Yanki elements, which means that the story should contain violence, death, and not necessarily a happy ending. Okay, it doesn’t have to end in tragedy, but it doesn’t really have to have a happy ending. This is why such a go-lucky type of ending feels unnatural. It doesn’t really fit the RkkfP.
